Allows you to measure the salinity of your tank. Very useful when doing water changes or mixing new salt water. Just add water to the hydrometer and the needle will fall on your current salinity reading.
*Pro tip: make sure to check the floating arms for tiny micro bubbles. If bubbles are present you should remove them from both sides to ensure an accurate reading.
